Privacy Policy

The short version: Your reminders stay on your device. We don't have accounts, we don't have servers, and we don't track you.

1. What Recue Does

Recue is a voice-powered reminder app. You speak, and we turn your words into reminders. Everything is stored locally on your device.

2. Data We Store

All your reminders, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We do not operate any servers or databases. We have no way to access your data.

3. Voice Processing

When you use the voice feature, your speech is processed as follows:

Speech-to-text: Handled by your device's built-in speech recognition (Apple Speech). Audio does not leave your device for this step.
Text parsing: The transcribed text is sent to OpenAI's API (GPT-4o-mini) to extract task details like time and description. OpenAI processes this data according to their API data usage policy — API inputs are not used for training.

We do not store, log, or retain any voice data or transcripts on any server.

4. Subscriptions

Recue offers optional premium subscriptions managed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. RevenueCat handles receipt validation and subscription status. We do not collect payment information directly. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.

5. Analytics & Tracking

We do not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not collect usage data, device identifiers, or behavioral information.

6. No Accounts

Recue does not require registration or sign-in. There are no accounts, no emails, and no personal information collected.

7. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by:

Deleting individual reminders within the app
Uninstalling the app (removes all local data)

8. Children's Privacy

Recue does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with an updated date. Continued use of the app means you accept the changes.
